IFAC Young Author Award

The Organizing Committee of the 5th IFAC Workshop on Cyber-Physical Human Systems is pleased to announce the IFAC Young Author Award at CPHS 2024. The IFAC Young Author Award at CPHS 2024 is awarded for the best paper of which the first and presenting author is the main contributor of the research results in the paper and satisfies the eligibility criterion, namely that he/she has the Student status at the time of the final paper submission. The paper must be accepted for inclusion in the CPHS 2024 program and must be presented on site by the nominee.

The award winner will be announced at the Gala Dinner. 

Nomination Procedure

No self-nominations are allowed. Nominations are typically made by supervisors and must

• certify that the nominee is the main author of the paper;

• certify that the nominee has the Student status at the time of CPHS 2024 deadline for final paper submission;

• provide a brief description of the contribution of the paper;

• motivate the nomination for the award;

• provide the nominator’s contact information.

Nominations are limited to one paper per nominator. Nominations must be made via the CPHS 2024 submission wizard at PaperPlaza: Young Author Award nominations are open until October 25th, 2024. The information requested above should be organized and presented in a two-page double-column document in PDF format to be uploaded through the nomination submission site.

Selection Procedure

An awards selection committee, appointed by the IPC Chair, selects several finalists on the basis of the nomination letters, the review reports, and the papers. Finalists are informed before the event. The selection committee selects the winner out of the finalists.

Award Presentation

The award will be announced and presented by the General Chair during the conference/award ceremony. The award recipient will receive the IFAC CPHS 2024 Young Author Award certificate from the Conference Organizers.
